Business Developers at MUCF
The Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society (MUCF) is a government agency that generates knowledge about the living conditions of young people and the prerequisites of civil society. Our vision is an open and inclusive Sweden with good conditions for youth and civil society.
MUCF has been tasked by the government to work towards achieving the goals of youth policy and civil society policy. We do this by generating, collecting, and disseminating knowledge, as well as contributing to the coordination of state efforts. We collaborate with authorities, municipalities, regions, and civil society organizations, and distribute state grants.
As of January 1, 2026, the agency's mission has expanded as we have taken over the responsibilities previously held by the Agency for Support to Faith Communities (SST) and the responsibility for state tasks within minority policy. This means that MUCF is an even more important player in the work to strengthen democracy, promote participation, and contribute to an inclusive society.
MUCF has offices in Växjö and from February 2026 also in Stockholm.
MUCF is the national program office for the EU's youth programs Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. This means that MUCF manages and distributes grants within the program areas for which the agency is responsible. MUCF is also an information office for CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) and informs about grants available within that program.
Description
The agency is seeking two qualified business developers for strategic and operational support to the department for international cooperation.
The positions are located within the function for international coordination, which consists of two business developers and a project economist led by the department head. The function provides strategic support to the department as a whole and coordinates work with operational planning, follow-up, and development.
The department is responsible for a number of extensive international cooperation projects, which requires structure, quality, and strategic governance.
The position is based in Växjö.
MUCF believes in a flexible future work approach with the possibility to partially work remotely based on the needs of the organization. Office presence is determined in consultation with the responsible manager based on your personal circumstances and the needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
The role is divided into two complementary focuses. One focuses on internal and external dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination, while the other has a deeper focus on regulatory compliance, process development, and structural governance.
As a business developer, you provide qualified support to the department in both ongoing operational issues and in strategic development work. You contribute to strengthening the department's operations with a focus on quality, governance, and long-term development.
You coordinate, initiate, and drive development and improvement processes related to operational planning, follow-up, and analysis. The assignment includes ensuring regulatory compliance within the operational area and, together with managers and case officers, developing and managing working methods, routines, and internal processes for increased efficiency and legal certainty.
The role also involves representing the agency in cross-authority networks and in national and international collaborations. You contribute to strengthening the department's internal and external collaboration through dialogue, environmental monitoring, analysis, and knowledge dissemination.
The work also includes coordinating and further developing the department's training and information efforts, as well as quality assuring and disseminating knowledge about the EU programs for which the agency is responsible.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree in a relevant field, such as political science, law, economics, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent and relevant to the job's tasks
- at least three years of experience in qualified business development work within the public sector
- experience in project management and work with regulatory compliance
- good knowledge of and experience in governance and follow-up in public operations
- documented experience of working with EU-related issues and/or international collaborations
- very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience in coordinating training and information efforts
- experience representing organizations in national and international networks
- worked with youth, either as an employee or as a volunteer
- experience working with the EU programs Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps
To succeed in the role, you are strategic and analytical with a good overall perspective. You have good collaboration skills and are unpretentious and generous in sharing your knowledge and experiences. You are structured and driven, with the ability to translate overarching goals into concrete activities and are used to working independently. You are confident in representing the agency in external contexts and have high integrity in matters concerning regulatory compliance and agency exercise.
Conditions
Probationary employment is normally applied.
